United Way of Greater Lima
Volunteer Involvement

The United Way of Greater Lima relies on volunteers in all aspects of the campaign and year round activities. Volunteers serve on a variety of committees:

  • Board of Directors - sets policy for United Way of Greater Lima
  • Fund Distribution - reviews financial needs and programs and recommends fund distribution for partner agencies
  • Marketing/Communications - creates marketing materials, campaign materials and events
  • Admissions, Needs Identification and Performance Review - recommends new partner agency admissions, determines service priorities and conducts periodic community needs assessments, and conducts program performance evaluations
  • Administrative, Personnel and Nominating - Reviews Personnel Policies, Administrative Policies, recommends nominees for board positions and evaluates the performance of the President
  • Impact Committee - this new committee is currently assessing ways for United Way to have an even greater impact in our community.

Volunteers also serve in many capacities during the annual campaign:

 

  • Team Leaders - Recruit Team Co-Leaders and Campaign Workers
  • Team Co-Leaders - Recruit Campaign Workers
  • Campaign Workers - Work with area businesses and their campaigns
  • Employee Campaign Coordinator - Work in-house campaign at business of employment
  • Audit Committee - Audits all pledges for campaign
