Karen Miller, 2007 United Way Campaign Chair, announced that 86% of the campaign total has been reached. The announcement of pledges totaling $2,113,333 toward a goal of $2,450,000 was made at the fourth report breakfast at the St. Rita’s Medical Center with breakfast provided by St. Rita’s Cafe. The campaign continues until the Awards Event on January 23 when the final report on the campaign will be given.
Recognitions at the meeting included: Four divisions were recognized for reaching over 90% of goal – Carl Berger, Industry B, 98%; Linda Chartrand and Wally Kincaid, Health Care, 95%; Physicians – Dr. Andy cook – 91%; and Education – Mary Elmquist – 91%. Eight divisions were recognized for achieving between 80% - 89% of goal – Pilots, Cheryl Morgan and Brenda Burgy-Schweizer, 89%; Industry A, Syl Essick and Peggy Ehora, 80%; Retirees and Special Gifts, Jackie O’Neal and Dick Riggs, 84%; Finance and Construction, Carol Buettner, 84%; Pacesetters, Angie Clark, 85% and 102% of New Member goal; County Employees – Nicole Ward, 87% ; Delphos – Kim Colasanti and Jane Looser – 89%; and Alexis de Tocqueville, Bill Timmermeister, 85%.
Miller remarked that she appreciated all the work that the volunteers have been doing to make this campaign successful, but we are not done yet! She asked them to continue their follow ups. The Awards Celebration is Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center when a final total will be announced.
