Five
Chairman's Awards were presented. This award is presented
to individuals, companies or organizations that demonstrated
outstanding community commitment and support of local people
in need through the United Way of Greater Lima campaign.
Winners this year were:
- Kurt
Neeper, Employee Campaign Coordinator, for his leadership
of the Superior Federal Credit Union employee and corporate
campaign
- St. Rita's Medical
Center and Employees for increased employee giving
- Crime
Victim Services Employees and David Voth, Executive Director
for continued efforts at the Award of Excellence level and
for Campaign Marketing and Outcomes Measurement efforts
- CORPCOMM Group,
Inc., Tim and Kathy Stuckey for continuous financial and
marketing support of the campaigns and special events
- WLIO
NBC Lima, Bruce Opperman, General Manager; Tom Hendrixson,
Commercial Videographer; and Terry Johns, Production Manager
for more than 15 years service and volunteer annual provision
of campaign video productions.
During
the annual meeting portion of the event, new board members
and officers were elected. Dan Endicott was elected
for his second year as Board Chair. Stephen Bryan, retiring
board member, was recognized for his years of service. Newly
elected vice chairs for 2007 are Karen C. Miller, Cheryl Morgan,
Robert Leonard, Treasurer Jerome O'Neal; and Assistant Treasurer
Andrew Kantonen. Elected to four year terms are Angie
Clark, Andrew Kantonen, Peggy Ehora, Sylvan Essick, Karen
C. Miller and Eldon Miller. Campaign Chair for the 2007
campaign is Karen C. Miller.
