Mission:

United Way improves lives by uniting the caring power of our community.

Focus:

We fight for the HEALTH, EDUCATION, and FINANCIAL STABILITY of every person in our community!

History:

At its inception, United Way collected funds for local charities, and distributed them to relief services, cooperating agencies and emergency assistance grants. By 1948, more than 1,000 communities had established United Way organizations. Through the years, the United Way has continued to evolve with the needs of the nation it serves. Now United Way organizations across the US are helping millions of people.

For 106 years, the United Way of Greater Lima has been dedicated to the citizens of Allen County.  The United Way of Greater Lima supports partner agency programs focused on three impact areas in Health, Education and Financial Stability. We work in collaboration with government, business and community partners to better the lives of children and families, and to raise awareness of community needs and available services.

We rely on our dedicated staff and partners to conduct research and create programs that address health, education, and financial stability, and the greatest and most immediate needs within them.
