2020 would have been our 5th Annual Day of Caring. Like everything else last year, it looked a little different. We held an Acts of Caring Day where we asked people to do random acts of kindness and pay it forward. We had lots of people in our community participate in this day.
Our Day of Caring was not lost completely, however, as we engaged 100 volunteers who helped us bottle, label, and deliver twenty-five 55 gallon drums of hand sanitizer from P & G into over 12,000 bottles to county schools. Volunteers included employees from P & G, Mercy Health St. Rita's, local companies, Local UAW 1219 members, Lima Building trades members and the National Guard. A thank you goes out to the West Ohio Food Bank who has had the perfect facility to house all of these employees and comply with the social distancing standards in place.
Day of Caring 2021: Coming soon, please join us September 10, 2021!
